It’s a Snow Day in my world, so between answering work emails and catching up on some cleaning, I came across a beautiful deck of Moon Cards that were a gift from a childhood friend of mine, who lives much too far away right now.
That seems like enough of a distraction for me, so let’s see what they have to say.
First things first – identify the current phase of the Moon (New/Black), then the appropriate Sun Sign (Aquarius) and find the corresponding card. For today, that’s Black Moon in Air, which is a Dormant Card, with key word Revision.
The accompanying book is telling me – and I tend to agree based on my own current experiences – that this is a period when nothing good is happening. It’s a time to think, revise any plans, and really – do NOTHING. Relax and let whatever happens, happen.
Thinking about touching base with an ex? Don’t do it. Maybe taking on a new project? Now is not the time. Don’t believe me? Just try it and see how unsatisfied you’ll be with the results 🙁
Aquarius is a bit of a devil on our shoulder with this Moon. It wants to influence us to be daring, to take a chance, to run the risk. But my advice is to resist any and all temptations right now. Just give it a few days and the energy will change and become more receptive to our impulses and urges.
Instead, right now, give significant thought to the things you want and the things that are worth waiting for. I cannot stress this enough – it’s a time for thinking and consideration, not action. Rethink and revise your plans, perhaps there are better alternatives or options that haven’t even crossed your mind yet.
If you’re in a relationship, watch out for unexpected challenges or issues during this time. Don’t overreact or lash out in anger, no matter how tempting that might be. If you’re single, you may find yourself drawn to someone who’s not your usual type. Be careful there too, though, as there’s no staying power indicated to relationships that begin at this time.
And be careful with your money right now. This isn’t the time for a major purchase or waving credit cards around.

For further insight, I randomly selected one of the 12 Moon Goddess cards from the deck – Athene.
Athene is a White Air Goddess, telling us that we have all the skills and abilities we need to deal with whatever is happening in our lives. What you see as a issue, Athene sees as an opportunity for creative problem-solving.
And finally, a Moon Mansion Card. Wheel fell out as I was shuffling so I took that as a sign. Wheel is all about who you know. It’s time to make connections, network, and find assistance in unusual places.
So while you’re busy doing nothing over the next few days, accept social invitations, put yourself out there, and be willing to meet new people. You never know when this might pay off for you.
